Brahmasthāna is generally any centre, whether geometric (the central point of a
town, village, building, temple, etc.) or of significance (garbhagṛha, main
sacrificial site /balipīṭha/, etc.).
Sandhisthāna is the junction of any architectural units of the temple, whether
vertical or horizontal.
