Many thanks Saroj ji. I do not think *Terminalia** elliptica*; the tell-tale crocodile bark is missing, the venation and shape of leaves differ. Perhaps *Terminalia chebula* Retz. but I am not confident. I have added a cropped photo to show the bark.
