There seems to be some confusion regarding its taxonomy. Flora of Bhutan <https://biodiversity.bt/species/show/3525> gives* Mucuna interrupta *Gagnep. as a syn. of *Mucuna imbricata* DC. ex Baker. (with distribution in India as per POWO <https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:509212-1>). eFlora of Pakistan and Nepal gives *Mucuna imbricata* DC. ex Baker as a syn. of *Mucuna nigricans* (Lour.) Steud. While POWO <https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:509214-1> gives* Mucuna nigricans *(Lour.) Steud. as a syn. of* Mucuna interrupta *Gagnep., but with no distribution in India. So I take it as *Mucuna imbricata* DC. ex Baker only.
