*NOTE*: *Strobilanthes neoasper* is an orthographic variant of *Strobilanthes
neoaspera*. This was determined when the species was properly named and
described by botanists Venu and P. Daniel in their book, *Strobilanthes*
Blume (Acanthaceae) in Peninsular India, published in 2007.
