Regarding the *Colquhounia coccinea* images posted on eFI, I think only Saroj's post from Nepal <https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/AvHncARlAP8?pli=1> is *Colquhounia coccinea.* All other images from West Himalaya belong to *Colquhounia vestita. *The reason is as follows: *Firstly*, *Colquhounia coccinea *is found from Nepal eastwards. It is not found in West Himalaya, whereas *Colquhounia vestita *is found throughout the Himalayas (according to POWO). *Secondly*, the stem, branches and leaf undersides in *Colquhounia vestita *are white-woolly, whereas they are not in *Colquhounia coccinea *(see the key at FOC <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=107716>) *.* This feature is quite visible in the images on eFI. The confusion probably arose from Polunin & Stainton which mentions only *Colquhounia coccinea* and describes the distribution ranging from Uttarakhand, and says the leaf undersides are white woolly. Mostly likely they erroneously clubbed the two species into one.
