Following some enquiries from local villagers I have found that its *Kashmiri 
*name is *Kuna.*
*Grierson *in his dictionary of the Kashmiri language has wrongly mentioned 
*Kuna* as the Kashmiri name of *Portuluca oleracea *which is actually *Nunnar 
( Nuniya *in Hindi*).*
