Hi! So... 3.6.2 is out in the contribs directory : http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.2/contrib/solaris_tarball/
But only in English. If you want to get it in your favorite language (say German, for example), then nothing simpler... this is what I did : I installed FF 3.6.2 (en_US from the contribs) by untaring it in */usr/local/lib* (it creates a firefox directory) and then *ln -s /usr/local/lib/firefox /usr/bin/firefox* I downloaded the German firefox for Linux : *http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.2/linux-i686/de/firefox-3.6.2.tar.bz2* I untarred it and got *firefox/chrome/de.jar* and *firefox/chrome/de.manifest * I copied those files to my */usr/local/lib/firefox/chrome* (where there was already *en_US.jar* and *en_US.manifest*). Then I started firefox and changed in the about.config page *general.useragent.locale* to say *de * And quit (completely :)) firefox and restarted... and it's now in German. I can change back to english by putting again *en_US* as *general.useragent.locale * Note that you will want to copy the contents of /usr/lib/firefox/plugins to /usr/local/lib/firefox/plugins to get your plugins to work (but DON'T overwrite libnullplugin.so which should be the proper version from your 3.6.2). Simple, easy... you'll love it!
