Hi all.

Suddenly and without warning, I found myself at the console. :-/

I see no indication of anything going awry in /var/adm/messages or in
the various logs in /var/log. However, /var/log/gdm/:0.log.3 was
modified at a time coinciding with the crash and ends with:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I assume that's what brought my desktop down.(??) If so, any idea how I
might have managed this?
I'm using build 132, nvidia driver 195.30, and have a GeForce 8600 GT
(dual-head, twin view). Compiz is enabled. If memory serves me, at the
time I was using:
* Pidgin (active app)
* VirtualBox
* Firefox
* Evolution
* Rhythmbox
* SecondLife
* gnome-terminal
* Emacs
Thanks! Take care.
