I have a server w/ 1Gb ethernet and some fast disks server movies,
photo's ans music; the latter in plain mp3 format. A desktop machine,
connected to this 1Gb network, has severe issues playing these mp3 files
in rhythmbox without stuttering. They only play normal if the user does
nothing at all on the desktop. Opening a mail client or firefox gives
sever drop-outs.
This did not happen some releases ago, so I assume it's something in
these new betas. Am I right? The machines are fast amd64's with 4Mb ram.
Fast enough to play some simple tunes while doing other things. ;-) What
can be the issue?
