These changes in the X packages in Nevada build 129 will need updates to the IPS distro-import package definitions for those packages.
As usual, this only lists the changes that need distro-import changes, the full list of X changes in these builds can be seen at: http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+x_win/changelogs-nv_120#HBuild129 (Since this is being sent early, due to the US holiday, that list is still subject to change pending respins due to issues found in pre-integration testing - there's one respin pending for an intel driver bug right now, but that won't affect the packaging.) This build should finally finish clearing all contents of the X packages included in IPS repos as fully redistributable. All encumbered components are now isolated to packages that are not transformed into IPS packages, and which will be EOL'ed when the WOS converts to IPS-only at nv_131. (They are limited to Xsun and some encumbered fonts.) It also converges the SVR4 & IPS font packages into a single set for the open source/non-encumbered fonts, and thus removes the last of the temporary FSW* packages from the system. * 6899630 move libdga to open-src & /usr/X11 - From 128/common/SUNWxwinc remove: # Not yet confirmed redistributable drop usr/openwin/share/include/dga drop usr/openwin/share/include/dga/XineramaInfo.h drop usr/openwin/share/include/dga/dga.h drop usr/openwin/share/include/dga/dga_externaldefs.h - From 128/common/SUNWxwplt remove: # Not yet confirmed redistributable drop usr/openwin/lib/libdga.so $(sparc_ONLY)drop usr/openwin/lib/$(ARCH64)/libdga.so (The libdga.so.1 lines remain for the "replaced by /usr/openwin -> X11 symlink" section.) * 6737076 Bring in Xorg's xcompmgr window manager - New package SUNWxcompmgr: consolidation "X" classification "System/X11" import SUNWxcompmgr * 6896574 Font repackaging and upgrade to X11R7.5 fonts - New packages: SUNWfont-daewoo-misc Korean bitmap fonts from Daewoo Electronics SUNWfont-isas-misc Institute of Software, Academia Sinica GB2312-80 bitmap fonts SUNWfont-jis-misc Japanese Industrial Standard 9051-1984 bitmap fonts SUNWfont-misc-ethiopic Ethiopic language fonts from the Ge'ez Frontiers Foundation SUNWfont-misc-meltho Meltho Syriac fonts SUNWfont-xorg-core X.Org Foundation X11 core fonts SUNWfont-xorg-cyrillic Cyrillic bitmap fonts from X.Org Foundation SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-1 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-1 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-2 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-2 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-3 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-3 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-4 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-4 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-5 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-5 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-7 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-7 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-8 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-8 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-9 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-9 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-10 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-10 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-11 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-11 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-13 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-13 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-14 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-14 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-15 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-15 fonts SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-16 X.Org Foundation X11 iso8859-16 fonts SUNWttf-bh-luxi Luxi font family from Bigelow & Holmes SUNWttf-bitstream-vera Bitstream Vera fonts SUNWttf-dejavu DejaVu fonts SUNWttf-liberation Liberation fonts Mappings from old FSW* packages: FSWxorg-fonts-core SUNWfont-xorg-core SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-1 SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-15 SUNWfont-isas-misc SUNWttf-bh-luxi SUNWttf-dejavu SUNWttf-liberation FSWxorg-fonts-cyrillic SUNWfont-xorg-cyrillic FSWxorg-fonts-daewoo SUNWfont-daewoo-misc FSWxorg-fonts-ethiopic SUNWfont-misc-ethiopic FSWxorg-fonts-iso8859-* SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-* FSWxorg-fonts-syriac SUNWfont-misc-meltho FSWxorg-fonts-jiskan SUNWfont-jis-misc FSWxorg-fonts-vera SUNWttf-bitstream-vera Of the packages split out from the former FSWxorg-fonts-core, I think SUNWttf-dejavu & SUNWttf-liberation are the most important to include on the LiveCD. SUNWfont-xorg-core & SUNWfont-xorg-iso8859-1 would be useful for legacy (non-GTK/Qt) X11 apps. The others I think would be fine to leave off the LiveCD. -alan- _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
