Thanks, Dave. Yet, I just confirmed it is not a bad download nor my disc drive 
as I just downloaded the image again on an alternate computer for the burn with 
a different reference disc burner. I downloaded OSOL-b98 just fine using the 
same procedures and computers. ;o)

The fail with comes after the probing for system devices and SMF info. So, I 
get the majority of the boat install but just right before the XWin loading 
which throws me into the system maintenance prompt.

So, is it POSSIBLE the image is bad on the site although the signature is good 
(or is it something about the OS b99 installer versus the b98 installer).

Just tossing out ideas as 'global' OSOL-b97 and OSOL-b98 work fine on the same 
computers I'm using for the test.
