I needed to do a quick test on a solaris install. From my indiana dom0, I
installed nv_b99 using virt-install and I was very pleased with how smoothly it
went. I later tried the same thing with the indiana live cd. This was quite
disappointing.

It looks like the livecd is xen aware. The network works and, with a little
poking around, I was able to display the installer to my desktop. However, the
installer does not see the disk. From the command line, I can format the disk
(it did not know what type it was, but I managed to play around until it was
happy). Even after formatting the disk with a single solaris partition, the
installer still did not know it was there.

Is this supposed to work? I did not find much about installing a pv indiana in
the forum.
