The libbe bug you might be referring to is

        1333 - libbe creation and rename of BEs should handle
        subordinate legacy mounted datasets.

But I haven't seen evidence on this thread that your /opt is set
to be legacy mounted.  The output of 'zfs list', and the current
/etc/vfstab would shed some light on that.
