The same issue on Thinkpad X61s and OpenSolaris 2008.05 (build 91)
The issue is very similar to a problem with MTU, and workaround below
works for me:
pfexec ifconfig e1000g0 mtu 576
I did not notice network issues when OpenSolaris 2008.05 (build 86) is
running with MTU 1500
