Quoting ANANT S ATHAVALE <a...@isac.gov.in>:
Dear Developers,
As I see the RoadMap, IMP 6.2 release likely to happen in December,
2013.
Whether the source code will be totally different from what is used in
IMP
6.1.x?
*Totally* different? No, of course not. Bug fixes are ported to the next
point release branches. The next point releases will contain, along with
the bug fixes, new features.
Why asking this question is, now many of the bugs have been resolved
and if
IMP 6.2 is going to be a different source then, we need to test for all
these bugs again.
Of course there is always the possibility of bugs in a new software
release. However, the risk of a regression in one of the bugs already
fixed is fairly low.
If you are concerned enough about certain bugs in an upcoming release,
you can always help us help you by actually testing the code before it
is released.
