There is no option. We used to allow this, but it was removed during
the theme overhaul. Jan would know better why this occurred.
Because the old javascript tree renderer didn't work at this place
anymore, and a new one wasn't created yet.

You can file an enhancement request. Note that no developer is
actively developing for the basic view, so you probably won't see much
action on this unless somebody independently provides a patch.
