Hi, I have been trying for a few weeks to get Horde and IMP working on my Linux box.
I am running Fedora Core 6 on a P4/2.8GHz with 2GB or Ram. I had tried using the Red Hat package manager to install Horde, and came across problems when trying to set the SQL backend up on it. I have created the horde database, with a horde user and password, and phpmyadmin successfully accesses the horde database. Each time I try and set it up, I tell it the host name, etc. and then go to the next page where I am asked to confirm how I would like horde_prefs set up, (set to use SQL backend). When I click "Generate config" I get a lot of "Waiting for localhost..." in the status bar of my browser and it seems to be flapping. I though there might have been a bug in the source code of the Fedora package, so I tried removing it, and downloading Horde and IMP from horde.com but surprisingly get the same problem. This time, however, I tried removing the horde database and using (per supplied instruction) the create.mysql.sql script to set up the horde database and tables. I have also tried configuring Horde to connect to mysql as root which still gives the same problem. It is not an authentication problem; I have tested this by putting dummy credentials in and get an auth error message. Could anybody suggest where to look. Perhaps the location of Horde 3.1's logfiles would be a good place but where are they? Thanks for your time in reading.
