i want yu to send me 2 things.
1. your running processes
2. your screenshot with volume control and xine main window
now how to do it is explained below
- your running processes
open a terminal/console. in the $ prompt, type
ps -auxwww > /tmp/myprocesses.txt
this will send the output to a file myprocesses.txt in the /tmp
directory. send me that file.
- your screenshot with volume control and xine main window
open xine and minimize the big window with XINE written on it.
open volume control, click Settings -> Preferences. under the "Labels"
tab, select (tick) everything. then click print screen key. it'll ask yu
to save that shot in your home directory. save it.
if yu are not able to connect to internet from your linux account, then
transfer both the files to your windows account. as far as i remember,
you've win98, win2k and mandrake on your machine. by default mandrake
installation automatically mounts your windows partitions. you can find
them in the /mnt/ directory. if you've multiple partitions, then it'd be
something like this - /mnt/windows_c , /mnt/windows_d etc.
now, you have to send me these two files. make sure you don't send it to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] If you send both of them at [EMAIL PROTECTED], i swear i'm
never ever in my life going to answer any of your queries. doubly make
sure the To: address in your yahoo or outlook express or evolution or
kmail or mozilla or sylpheed or mutt or pine account is NOT
[EMAIL PROTECTED] send it to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] - hope that should be
clear. to summarize, send me the screenshot and the myprocesses.txt to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and NOT [EMAIL PROTECTED]
