Hi All,
I am running a Gateway machine configured using Iptables and Domain controller that we are using here is on NT Server. Now we want to stop access to Yahoo Messenger from that gateway machine, which i have implemented for whole domain and that can also be done for selective IPs easily.
Can anybody suggest me how to do that for a partlicular User ID.
Say two users logged in at a time "abc" and xyz" on different machines where NT PDC is for authentication. where "abc" has access to yahoo messenger and "xyz" dosn't. So now when abc and xyz exchange their machines the same settings should be there.
What i mean is IP or machine name independent it should only depend on User ID from NT Domain.

Suggestions are Welcome and Thanx in Advance
Regards,
Dhruv

Subject: [ilugd]: Linux and Windows 2000 interoperability

Dear all,

I want to implement RH 7.3 Valahala clients in a lab of our college where about 2500 students study. But a problem, I do not want to create as many user accounts per machine. Since I have windows 2000 Server as Domain controller and users are autheticated from there. Can I use same domain controller for authentication on Linux machines? If yes , how? Kindly point me to a knowledge source.

Thnx in anticipation

With warmest Regards

PK Sharma
