Subject: [LIH][OT?] Alternatives for these commercial products?
Date: 20 Mar 2003 17:54:28 +0530

I have been in contact with a US company that has an excellent business
full feature software which they are willing to give free. However the
product is dependent on two commercial products: The IBM/Informix
database and Four J's BDL runners.
My idea is if we can find a substitute database software then this
product could be launched in India under GPL. As of now I do not know
any other major business software release under LINUX only Tally was
supposed to be releasing a full feature product.
Any one can give me inputs on what these products are and what are
alternate software possibilities? Any one willing to work on this?
Sudev
