Check out http://www.freeswan.org for the exact procedure and the source. Basically, 1. Check that you have the kernel source installed. 2. Download Freeswan code which is compatible with your kernel version. 3. Patch the kernel code and recompile the kernel. In recent versions of freeswan, I think all this is automated using the RPM building features. All you would have to do is to download the SRPM and rebuild it. 4. Install the freeswan RPM - this install the kernel modules and the userspace tools required to get IPSEC working. 5. Modify ipsec.secrets and ipsec.conf to suit your site configuration. 6.
