great stuff vivek.

two small suggestions:

1) no need to write www.linux-delhi.org,
write just linux-delhi.org. with a shorter sentence, you can use a slightly
larger typesize to make it more visible from a distance.

2) don't use the blue color for two reasons:
use the deep ochre/yellow color of the penguin's feet as the color
blue is usually associated with windoze color id, it is not co-incidental the
penguin is used with the yello/ochre color, since this is the *exact*
opposite on the munsell color wheel to blue. in plainspeak, yellow and blue
are near-absolute contrasts.

M$ seems to have suddenly opened up to the use of its light blue/cyan in
color communication, from windoze xp, to most of their branding, this color
is becoming more frequently used.

according to the latest color trends, something "really" techie, geeky,
gizmo-ish, usually communicates through the sudden, stark use of colors such
as orange, ochre. so this is perfect for the moment.

some other suggestions:

throw a small logo of the gnu-head on the tee-shirt as well, with the gnu.org
url. or even better, use the gnu head and the penguin on the tee-shirt in
interesting ways with a catchy slogan:

"Bring Out The Animal In Your PC: Use Linux!"

Or a more visual pun, a gnu on the left, a slash in between, a penguin on the
right, and another nutty slogan : "Which Animal Broke My Windows!"

Want a more 'in your face' kinda thing? how about a penguin with a butterfly
(you know which one, which type, but not exactly like it) fluttering around
it, and another slogan: "Penguins Eat Butterflies for Breakfast.
Stop Chatting. Start Computing. Use Linux."

you know, i've always had some problems with the penguin as a mascot, in
india. the link to linux is not apparantly obvious. the north sea and iceland
has no frame of reference for indians. penguins are mostly associated with
the kelvinator advertising campaigns, and penguin associations with linux
needs a lot of communication, marketing, and merchandising. it is a very
geeky kind of thing. incidentally, a football world cup also had a penguin as
a mascot a few years ago. but then, i'm just rambling.

for the same reason, do not use a qutub minar, only those who have visited or
studied about delhi would know where.what, it is. if i wear a ilug-d
tee-shirt and visit cebit in hannover or anywhere else, it is not apparant i
come from delhi. using architectural landmarks that are not really world
famous (unlike eiffel tower, statue of liberty, etc) creates its own
problems. communicating that i am from linux-delhi with 'text' therefore
makes the visual communication redundant.

but anyway, we have to live with the penguin.

tell me what you think of the slogans and visuals suggested.

:-)
