Hi all I had posted a dns problem with my dial up a week back, and then followed up all suggestions (edting resolv.conf with the new dns Ips and things..but to no avail.)
I've had a feeling that it might have been due to the fact that i had inititally set my firewall settings to High (during install). When i run setup to change option from high-medium, it ostensibly changes. Running the tool again shows the setting back to high. [After scouring IRC and WWW, this seems to be abug in the RH setup utility). I then tried to edit firewall settings manually, but to no conclusion. after using serviceconf to shut down iptables, i tried iptables --flush to flush all rules. but here i get an errorsaying modules not found, (displays ip_tables.o), and says the kernel or iptables need upgrading. What could be the problem here, and how would i rectify this? i checked out netfilter.orgs docs, but didnt glean too much from the ones i've read till now.
