I don't mind getting new product announcements though I am not sure
about security announcements. Before someone forwards the security
announcements I have already got those from multiple sources. The
security announcements already get the kind of attention they require.
However one misses the new product announcements as they are not urgent
so forwarding them makes sense though some more value added( atleast 3
or more additional description lines) to these would be appreciated.

And Security updates of non-category killers like moxftp(this is not
relevant as wu-ftpd, vs-ftpd, proftpd etc). Are they really required ?

I have nothing against these announcements as they serve their purpose
as a kind of aggregated/filtered information for a majority.
