hi group,

i have AZTECH TURBO 100U usb dsl modem
i want to connect to internet thru my linux server , instead of my windows server
but there r no drivers provided by the company for this modem ,neither does
my ISP(Dishnet dsl) has drivers for it
i got the supported drivers from:
http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/doc.php?lang=en ( thanx to the gr8 linux group)

when i installed it on my linux box, it detected my modem and the power led
was glowing
BUT THE LINK IS BLINKING ,which is a sign of disconnection between my ISP and
my linux box
when i ran the driver program:
startmodem
it says
>usb aztech 100u modem detected
>globespan chipset
>synchronizing
>error: timeout , not synchronized

now i connect the modem in same state to my windows m/c the link comes up

this is really bothering me since weeks

it'll be gr8 if somebody can guide me to get it running for my RedHat 8.0

any help will be appreciable

desperately looking to see my company server to be in linux ( windows is a
great pain)

greetings,

bishan
