Also check out etherboot. It is the boot rom loader that you need to burn
into eproms to make boot eprom for your lan card. Search google for
etherboot :D

BTW does linux work with the PXE boot loader that comes built into the intel
LAN cards and onboard LAN interfaces with intel motherboards?

I have never tried remote booting with Linux, but I have used the PXE boot
loaders to do win2k remote install. And I was tempted to get some etherboot
boot ROMs made. I remember that during the time of  Netware and DOS/Win 3.1
remote boot systems were quite common with your main disk on the fileserver.
You could very easily get the boot ROMs for the 10MBPS LAN cards at Nehru
Place in those days.
