e.g. Linux 8 instead of Redhat Linux 8 Distribution ( Note how I avoid the term GNU Linux) When I used Redhat Linux 5.2 from a PCQuest Dist. during my college days nobody was fanatical about calling it GNU Linux or even Redhat Linux it was just 'linux'.
