Nah, I authenticated myself using the official 24online client from
Cyberroam.  At that time I captured the authentication packet that
went to the server.  Then using the linc README I extracted the auth
portion of the packet and put it in /etc/lincrc.  Now I just run linc
at system startup (in /etc/rc.d/rc.local) and voila! I'm online!

No muss, no fuss, no manual operation at all.
