hi,

I think u have set "TMOUT" variable in either .profile or .bash_profile.
TMOUT takes value in sec. (like 3600,1500..)after that period it automatically logoff 
ur telnet session.It is basically used for security reasons.If someone forgot to 
logout, it autologout after certain time period. 

 So, check it out for this variable.Either comment it or make too large .
