if u r talkin about the contacts which r shown in the Contacts folder under the Local Folders menu .... then simply double click the name of the contact u want to modify [or right click for more options] ... double clicking the contact's name opens the contact editor.   my Contacts folder is divided into 3 parts with the left pane showing the list of all the contacts..
