i have installed redhat linux 8.0 on my computer. it has a Intel 845 m/b with onboard sound and display card. the manufacturer of the mother board its intel. the display is working correctly but sound is not detected. it gives the following message.
for sound card detection
Sound Card detected model - intel corp|82801DB AC
the error given is

i also could not find linuxconf on 8.0. i had read it somewhere that redhat was depreciating use of linux conf and had removed it from default installation but we could install the package s! eperately. but in this version i could not find it.
