interesting gimp bug/feature. wonder how this person erases, because i know
that when it comes to pixels, you can do amazing things with the info in
them. for instance, in photoshop, i can successfully full details from
thoroughly blurred/fog-filled, low contrast images, and conversely, take
full-detailed photos, and make them behave as if the selected parts have
disappeared as pixels, though they are sitting pretty right there, pretending
to be alpha pixels when they are *not*.
when i get some time, will download those gimp images and run them through
some tests to figure out and share exactly what's happening.
