Hi!
After having scoured the net for a tool which can
rival Macromedia's Flash Studio in interface, design
ease and element embedding, (and do all this in SVG)
I've come to the conclusion that no such software
exists (in a stable form) for Linux. However,
PCXSoftware's SVG studio is a tool which can do all
this and more (Its just right for our specifications)
but there's one problem -its not GNU/GPL and its for
windows. In other words its a commerical piece of
software. (http://www.pcxsoftware.com).But, its Really
good.

I've talked to the creator of Karbon on IRC, and
according to him this kind of work is one of HIS
future projects.
(http://www.koffice.org/karbon/)Karbon, meanwhile is a
tool used to create vector images. Its under
development and is going to be similar to Illustrator.

Sodipodi (http://sodipodi.sourceforge.net)is a vector
based drawing program, like CorelDraw or Adobe
Illustrator from the proprietary software world, and
Sketch or KIllustrator from the free software world.
It is free software, distributed under the terms of
Gnu General Public License, Version 2.

I'm going to keep searching till (or if) something
more comes up..

Ciao,
vIkSiT
