Dear Pai, I want script file to be present on each machine. I have a code here that generates these custom scripts for different machines, given few details about the machine. Say, I have 50 different scripts generated this way and I am going to upload them on the remote machine (ftp) and start them executing there. (I am ok with telnet here.)
The real problem is to change some settings on the remote machine through this script and make this script physically available on the remote machine for future use. Mouting will not be useful coz, I want the files to be present there on the machine, each file is different for each machine. I have some Solaris 2.6/2.8 boxes and some Linux ones. Is it possible to write a script to upload and exexcute a file on the remote machine ?
