hey ,
i think u r new to CD Burning.
An ISO file is a precompiled image that u have to burn to CDR.
To burn an ISO check in ur software for somthing like " Burn 
Image" or "Burn ISO", eg in NERO ( File > Burn Image).
U can also view & extract the contents of an iso file with 
diffrent tools before burning.

U could also use CDRecord (freeware) & its tools for all ur cd 
burning purposes.Its available for diffrent platforms.Its console 
based but if u want u can get GUI frontend for it too.
