no idea what these ActiveX.. EXE is.. but DLL should be a dynamically linked library if you are asking for static,and dynamic libraries.. in linux,
static --- .a files are static libraries.. eg.. libm.a dynamic... -.so these are dynamically linked shared libraries.. and there are also dynamically loaded libraries..
