Hi all,

I am in the need of some realistic IMAP-usage data in order to
generate some statistical information related to the IMAP protocol.
The only reasonable way to do this seems to be to find a benevolent
administrator who has a sizable no. of users who use IMAP, and
who's willing to donate the usage of his server for this research...

I've written a proggy that runs outside the tcp/ip stack and logs IMAP
requests and responses and generates a logfile free of any
user/network specific information. It's open source, and anybody willing
could compile it on his own system, run it for a couple of days,
read through the output logfile to ensure there's nothing disagreeable,
and mail it across to me/put it up someplace.

It need not be running physically on the same host, since it sniffs
packets off the wire, and could be on an adjacent one, or nearby in
the same subnet (eg. on sombody's desktop computer).

        Kind regards,
      Sapan
