We ( Supreet, Dhruv, Prateek, shweta, anurag, ashwani, anjali) have started
work on the the manual for schools.
We have come up with following sections. Each section is coordinated by an
individual. If anybody is interested to submit article, essay for specific
section communicate with the respective section control.
When Raj Ma sets up CVS, we will upload the manual. The submissions, it has
been decided should be in A4 format StarOffice SDW format. It should follow
a
HOWTO pattern as much as possible.

Section heads and coordinators are:

packages and applications which handle bitmap and vector images.

games:  Shweta <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Games section

staroffice/ openoffice, koffice, gnome office

html editor:  Ashwani Kaul<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> we could include things like
quanta, mozilla etc.

Programming: Prateek<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> still thinking in terms of
what
to put in

Desktop Environment:  prateek<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Majorly details about
KDE and gnome

Sound Editing/Playing:  Ashish<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sound editing and playing
tools

video playing/editing: supreet<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Video editing and playing
tools.

adminstraion:  Dhruv Gami<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Tools like printtool, linux
conf

CLI survival guide:  Supreet<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Some command line stuff

Hardware Category Structure : Supreet<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Three catagories
would
be made and hardware specs and what capabilities you get out of those
selection

Links:   various  URL's realting to linux and software running on it

Open Source introduction: Tripta <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Open source ideology

Tips & Tricks: gami <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> & Supreet <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>  Some
linux tips and tricks.



Contributions and suggestions are needed.  Coordinators would try to get the
stuff edited and proof read. The manual would really dependent on
contributions of linux-delhi user group
