Hi, Once again, the societification bag has bitten (thanks to Dhruv Gami and Rishi Chawla's efforts), and the papers are with Rishi for emending and submission.
To the best of my recollection, the initial board of the society is comprised of: Kishore Bhargava Treasurer Kapil Chawla Member Leo Fernandez Vice-President Dhruv Gami Member Raj Mathur President Supreet Sethi Member Tripta General Secretary If the addition of Tripta to the list comes as a surprise, please note that we had lost 3 members out of the original mandatory 7 due to their leaving Delhi. Yesterday (Saturday, May 27) Leo and I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Tripta and other interested Linux enthusiasts at Sarai (as part of the Linux for Schools meeting), were impressed with the energy, management skills, commitment to the Linux cause and eloquence which she displayed during that time, and unanimous in the decision to include her in the preliminary board. Tripta is currently working at Sarai. It'd be nice if you could give the list a short note on yourself, Tripta. A reminder: this initial set of board members of the society is only valid until the first General Body Meeting, at which time the members of the society (i.e. all those who attend) will have the option of either ratifying the existing board members or selecting new ones. The ratified/selected board members shall hold office for 12-month periods after that.
