Yes, and using 2 methods.. one is thru a modem/null modem connection. one is
thru telnet (this is supported only in some versions of hyperterminal)

Zmodem is a file transfer protocol that is used to transfer files over a
serial connection. It supports features like resume, auto start, etc.. It is
used to transfer files when you are connected to a terminal on the other
end. Like say u r connected to your linux machine thru a serial link/telnet,
then u can start a zmodem send from the remote machine, and recv files on
your local machine. This is not something that you will wan't to use if you
can connect to the machine thru ftp/http..

almost everything that you can do with hyperterminal is not possible with
netmeeting.. netmeeting is a different type of program. Think abt abiword
and gneumeric here ;)
