If you are using 7.x:

Start ntalkd 
using the command ntsysv
After giving the command ntsysv, restart server or 
give the command
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xinit.d restart
Also execute the command
ipchains -F to remove any firewall restrictions.
Run command setup
and select firewall option and set to no firewall.
