Hello santosh It's not a bug but a kind of say loophole provided so that u can always boot when u forget ur password and change the paaswd . obviously one can easily get to command prompt but then the person must have physical access to the m/c and one thing more that it can always be plugged that is u can always restrict ur single mode by restricting it by passwd in lilo..
