basically the red hat distro that u can download made up almost entirely of
gpl/bsd code, so u shud be able to do anything u want to it. In fact
mandrake also started out as a red hat based distro. Though if i remember
correctly, if u make changes to a red hat distro, then u can't
sell/distribute it as a red hat distro, but nothing stops u from calling
your distro something like "My Linux Distro, based on red hat 7.2"

In fact if u r looking at extending the red hat distro, then one of the
first things that u might like to do is to make a new distro which has all
the updated packages in place of the original packages. This is not very
difficult to do, but wud give u a very good idea of some of the steps needed
to create a new distro based on a red hat distro!
