Hi Everybody,

We have a setup, where we are receiving mails through the UUCP services of
ERNET (DOE) in Delhi. We are using Taylor UUCP configured on Redhat 6.2
with Sendmail version 8.11.2. All those who have used ERNET UUCP services
will know about the problem that I am going to say.

All the incoming UUCP mails that comes through ERNET have the server name
attached to the FROM address like [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Now if both the incoming and outgoing mails are configured to pass through
ERNET uucp server then there is no issues. But, if we want to relay our
outgoing mails directly to Internet from the linux server then there is a
problem as the outoing email address has this uucp-relay-delhi! attached
to it (if any users uses the reply to option in email).

Now how can I strip the words uucp-relay-delhi! from the FROM: email
address on the incoming emails and also from the TO: addresses from the
mails going out from our linux server. I know that some rules in sendmail
configuration file needs to be changed but don't know which one and with
what.

If anybody can kindly help me to acheive what I want, I will be really
grateful.

With thanks in advance

George Joseph T
