muskan read carefully what i wrote earlier...active c....install win 98 on d first..the boot loader will have the 98 boot loader..install win2000 on c..2000 will over wirte the bootloader with NT loader which will have 98 and 2000 option..then in the last install linux on e with lilo(linux loader)..

you cannot install win 98 after 2000.

 well at times its pretty simple and at times it gets complicated..if you are ready for the R&D .

if you know how to partition on the hard disk then create 3 partitions on the second partation install win 98 first.. then on the first partation install 2000 . during the installtion win 2000 will ask if you would like to reatin your other operating system go for yes..

win 98 and win 2000 ln different partation as win 2000 runs good on ntfs so better give it a different partition. secondly win 2000 installs NT Boot loader which have the capability of handling previous versions of DOS/win. and last on the third partition install linux. and do go in for lilo loader which have the same capability of handling different OS.

the boot loader sequence that works on this case have to be lilo, NT loader then win 98.
in simplified terms- the lilo loader will load first at the boot time asking for linux or DOS. if u chose DOS then ur NT loader will ask for NT or Previous version of DOS(which will be win 98). this way your machine can have all the OS.

sounds simple isnt it..it is if you are familiar with all these OS installations.
