Hi Your problem might be due to an older motherboard/BIOS. some older BIOSes don't allow the boot sectors to be above the 1024 cylinder limit. So, for intstance if you installed Linux after installing a Windows and also making an extended partition, you're already past the 102 cylinder limit. So when you create a Linux native partition, your MB may have problems with it. You could get a new BIOS chip/Motherboard. by the way, Redhat 7.1 installation does warn u about this problem when installing, infact Disk Druid will just refuse to allocate primary partitions above 1024 cylinders. If you got that warning, there is a high probability this is your problem.
