I am using RH7.2 on P-III 800 with Samsung SyncMaster 753DF __17 " Flat Screen __ with the standard Intel 810E chipset
The graphics on the monitor look nearly flawless Mind you no games on my machine (Doom,Quake,et al) What I do want to do is to improve the display of text on my machine How DO I do that ?? Some Ideas that I have ..can anyone comment on them 1. Simply get a better video card This one I have is 4MB integrated .... Can anyone tell me if the improvement is quite substantial when they have switched to Intel 845i or 850i which I suppose has 32 MB Integrated... Keeping in my mind that the monitor that they were using is the same and not the gaming performance 2. Somebody suggested to me download true fonts ;-) I don’t know how true to get fonts and what they are Considering I have RH 7.2 (i imagine the fonts wont be 2 old) 3. Play with risk .. tune Dpi ,Display Timing ,Halftone,Color Temperature, Video Input Level..V-moire.. ...and the refresh rate Or a different driver (maybe ) 4. Or some crazier ideas like converting files to dvi which i found out had an absolute phenomenal display of text Is it because it has dpi in excess of 1000 dpi ?
