But looking at the specs simple logic says unless the firefox os does some magic the user experience is not going to be that great. I wish to be be proved wrong. I am going to order for that device anyways to experiment. I have an android smart phone with low internal storage and low memory and it is virtually unusable as a smart phone. Works great as a phone though. I am not stupid to expect something like an iPhone or an S3 at Rs.2,000/- but worried about the os's reputation running on such cheap hardware. IF the experience is not good (we don't know yet), can't believe that Mozilla would do something as stupid as this. Cheap is cheap. I remember the proliferation of android devices on cheap unbranded Chinese phones which got 'android' a cheap tag - bad battery, bad display, not responsive etc. Consumers do not know to differentiate between hardware shortfalls and the os. If Mozilla thought by partnering with a local company and throw a cheap phone at us Indians it is rather sad. They could have atleast demanded to have one good spec device in parallel. The phone in question does not have 3G connectivity and the rather uninformed consumer will comment to a friend 'firefox os cannot do 3G and they call it a smart phone OS'.
