Dear All, I am running an application that spawns 64 threads and when I try to kill the processes, they donot get killed even by kill -9 What might be the issue ? I am on ubuntu 14.04 server edition Linux ubuntu 3.13.0-27-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Thu May 15 18:06:16 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux custom installed Java version is 1.7.0_55. same thing happens even with 1.7.0_17.
