Pragyan, the annual International Techno-Management Festival of NIT Trichy
presents *Pengufest - A unique celebration of FOSS *(Free and Open Source
Software). Organized by the GNU/Linux Users Group of Trichy, Pengufest aims
to be a tribute to the very spirit of Free and Open Source
Software.Pengufest has tasted tremendous success since its inception
in 2011.
Pengufest has had guest speakers from various Open Source communities,
including GNOME, Libreoffice, GDG, Mozilla, Wordpress and so on. Apart from
the regular events Pengufest also organizes ethical hacking contests,
algorithmic programming competitions and hackathons to ensure
hands-on-exposure to all kinds of emerging software.
This year's edition of Pengufest presents guest talks by Priya
Kuber, Managing Director at Arduino India, Rohit Rai, Director Sales at
MongoDB, Venkatesh Harinarayan, co-founder of Junglee and Venkatesh Basker,
NIT Trichy alumnus and ACM ICPC world finalist. We are also conducting an
unknown language programming contest on hackerrank on the 2nd of March 2014.
